The best definition of the word "Crucible" as it applies to the play is
a. the hollow at the bottom of an ore furnace where molten lead collects b. a container made of a substance that can resist great heat c. a lamp burning before a cross d. a severe test or trial
d. a severe test or trial
ReplyDeleteI think it is either (b)or (d). (b) is this actual defintion of a crucible but pertain to this story (d)would describe it.
ReplyDeletei think it is d. because the characters go through the witch trials and there sense of who they are is tested.
ReplyDeleteD is correct
ReplyDeleteD is correct
